Whoops, getting more graphic

Needless to say, the subject of my quotes has veered away from douche bags and has settled somewhere between social criticism and our societies hang ups with sex and pornography. Go figure. I suppose sometimes it is easier to start a discussion about sexuality when it is staring you right in the face.

Roger Horrocks wrote a book called Male Myths and Icons: Masculinity in Popular Culture. I read the chapter regarding pornography  and it was indeed compelling. I will likely round up my thoughts regarding this chapter at a later date. Perhaps tomorrow. Perhaps not.

Anyway, the woman I quoted writes for a site called www.amplifyyourvoice.org and has a column entitled "Yes Means Yes." I only read the article that I drew the quote from, but I recommend reading it, as it greatly mirrors my opinion regarding the split personality of American media regarding the overt sexuality of grown women and the purity myth of young and teenage girls. Anyway. That's that.

Also, I wonder if showing penis-vagina penetration will get me my first flag. If I haven't been already.

More Masturbation

So three out of four posts are about masturbation. Apparently, I think society views it weirdly. I guess.

Hey it's Sunday!

So I doctored the quote a tiny bit for dramatic effect. Ewwww. Anyway, the first block of text initially read, "Those words sum up the lament from thousands of Christian men who seem enslaved by the silky, sexual images of pornography." And it came at the end of the article as a summation.

Christians (and people of faith the world over) seem to be pretty high strung. I suppose if I wanted to escape my "body of death" whenever I masturbated, I'd be high strung too.

This Won't Continute Forever

The post after post after post thing is going to end as soon as I run out of a backlog. In fact, the reason for posting this time is that I came to depressing revelation that my oeuvre is an awful lot like PETA's advertising campaign. And it's both a thing that I hate both PETA, and that stupid shock value advertisement they run. Conundrum. I guess I'll add more dicks in the near future. Anyway. One that isn't such a downer. And by not such a downer, I mean one that doesn't have a quote from a douche bag. As far as I know. I'll admit, I didn't research this Betty Dodson woman before putting her quote on this woman's butt.

First things first

Before I start posting these pictures all over the internet and inviting the criticism that that action entails, I'd like to get a couple of things out in the open. I am by no means a great political mind, nor do I have any particular interest in becoming an expert in the field. The aim of this project is not political. Though I aim to ridicule politicians and particularly the right leaning ones, I hope that as time passes I can point my disgust toward other sides.

With that said, I draw pictures of naked women from pornographic magazines, ink them and then add a quote that I find to be as offensive or detrimental to society. It's an attempt to reach folks who views pornography or open sexuality as somehow dangerous to society, while showing that some people find the words of popular pundits and politicians as damaging or worse.

While I intend on keeping my own written commentary to a minimum, I can only assume that at some point, I will bitch and moan about something related or not related to the picture. With that said, enjoy.
